Our psychologists use a range of evidence-based techniques to assist patients with cognitive, emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. These include cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution focused therapy, schema therapy, strengths based therapy, internal family systems and ADHD coaching.

Therapy Assistance Programs
Elucidate Psychology offers therapy assistance programs for both NDIS participants and privately-funded patients of all ages (i.e., children, teens and adults).
Therapy assistants work under the supervision and guidance of the individual’s treating psychologist to provide additional support that complements the psychological services. This support helps patients further their progress and achieve their desired outcomes.

Our therapy assistants support patients in a range of areas, including:

+ Executive functioning;
+ Improving functioning and building independence;
+ Individualised support with daily routines and activities;
+ Education and learning support, including helping with homework, developing study skills and general education assistance;
+ Helping learn skills to support wellbeing and participation in the community;
+ Assist adults with life administration tasks and activities;
+ Play therapy to help children develop communication, motor coordination, problem solving, emotional and social skills; and
+ Children and young people experiencing school anxiety and refusal, including helping with morning routines and getting ready for school.
